Turquoise Tuesday...

.

Hello, dear friends, and Happy Turquoise Tuesday!
I hope you're having a beautiful day...

Today's feature is just plain fun girl stuff.  Blatant feminine beauty.
From some of my favorite artists.
I think this little ensemble would look perfect all together, don't you?

We have the grit and sparkle combined with vintage components

The fabulous versatility and sexiness of FantasyWorldHeroes' snowskirt,
complete with turquoise lining.

And last, but certainly not least, the enchanting and magical cookoorikoo ring,
also made with vintage components.

I want all three! Le sigh...

Are these items fabulous or what?  I'm in love with them!

So.  What do you have planned for the Thanksgiving holiday?
Whatever your plans may be, I hope your day is filled with love and laughter,
and I hope you make many happy memories.

We're having both families here for the holiday.
It's been a few months since we've done that.
Father's Day, to be exact.
I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone, and having lots of delicious food.
I'm also looking forward to doing lots of baking before the big day.

I love to bake...

Thank you so much for dropping by, lovely friends.
I'm very thankful that you did...xo

The Application of Fringe...

The application of Fringe, or how I envision my newest Fringe shrug as an ensemble. I thought it would be fun to show you how I see my shrug, what ideas go through my mind when choosing the color story and the theme.

For this particular piece, the City Siren Shrug, I see it being worn any number of ways. Here is just one example. I love the sultry feel of this outfit, the feminine and somewhat neutral dress designed by Moulinette Soeurs, the swingy and sexy earrings designed by Kateri of Leaves of Glass. In this example, the pop of color comes from the shrug.

I don't necessarily believe in the elements of an outfit matching exactly. I appreciate the outfit as whole much more if there is perhaps just one piece that has a bright, deep or rich color while the other elements are monochromatic or neutral. That's just my opinion...

The Wreckers...

The Wreckers. Have you heard of them? They're an incredibly talented duo, Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp. I never get tired of their music. The fabulous Kateri of Leaves of Glass created a stunning bracelet, inspired by The Wreckers.

The Wreckers.

"Tennessee" is one of my favorite songs. It makes me wish I were back in that beautiful state.

Today...

...Today I'm wearing two of my favorite things. The vintage buckle is a gift from Kateri of Leaves of Glass and the ring is from Shana of cookoorikoo. Two amazing friends who happen to be exceptional artists as well. How lucky am I?
♥ Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! ♥

Seven Random Things....

About me. I've been tagged by Tina of Pfeiffer Photos. I’m a bit late in posting my seven random things, but better late than never…

1. I can't stand the sound of tearing paper. I know, weird. I'm sure a psychiatrist would have a grand time analyzing that one.

2. I love muscle cars and sleek, sexy fast cars. Always have. When the car shows come to town, I try to go to them.

3. Everyone in my home is a Libra. My husband, daughter, son and I are all Libras. Makes for a very harmonious atmosphere!

4. I paint. Oils on canvas. I don't get the chance to do it much these days, but I've been painting since I was 13.

5. Old movies are a passion of mine. I rarely watch anything else on TV. That's really not a mystery to those of you who follow my blog though, is it?

6. I love to bake. My specialty is biscotti.

7. I like reading 3 or 4 books at a time. All kinds of genres. Yay for books!

I thought this was great fun and actually, I could add many more random things that I’m sure none of you are all that interested in. It’s my obsession with lists (another random thing about me). I think that’s why I love these types of activities.

The Tagging Game "Official" Rules:

1. Link to your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog; some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their name and a link to their blog.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Here are my seven people I’ve tagged (please don’t hate me for tagging you).

1. Darling and wonderfully gifted Brenda of
Phydeaux
2. Fabulous and brilliant Kateri of Leaves of Glass
3. Sweet and super talented Shana of
Shana Says
4. Fun and delightful Lefty of
Two Left Hands
5. Loving and creative Suz from
Hometown Girl
6. Lovely and inspired Lauren of Lauren Bacchus Designs

7. Enchanting and artistic April of Lost in the Forest

Ladies, please don’t feel pressured or rushed to participate in this little activity. Some of you have probably been tagged before, and forgive me for adding to what is most likely a very busy schedule for you all. Be random and have fun!

Love,
me
