I've been busy,

Some other things I've been up to this past week?

Well...here's a week in pictures...

Our boy turned 15 last Friday.

*sniff*

He had 2 friends over,

we went Go-Karting,

then to dinner,

then home for cake (cheesecake).

All per his request.

It was a whirlwind evening of

teenagers,

silliness,

laughter,

and too much sugar.

I started a little project,

for myself.

*gasp*

I had a little cocktail on Thursday.

Grapefruit IZZE and vodka.

Delicious and relaxing.

I snipped some of the last of this round of roses
from our garden
yesterday morning.

It's been mostly overcast for the past

two weeks.

Yesterday afternoon,

the sun peeked through!

Amazing how the sun brings such a lift.

There's more to tell you, darling dears,

but I'm going to hold off until next time.

Spring begins with The Palette Series...

Hello, dear sweet friends, and Happy Friday to you!

I hope your weekend holds much happiness.

I have had a very busy and exciting day thus far.

I've listed 10 fresh new Fringe pieces.

You can see them all here.

I think I'm most excited about my new Palette Series.

The Palette Series is new and dear to my heart.

I love working with the magnificent variety of colors for these necklaces.

Each time I begin a new one, I smile.

Pure joy!

There are more than 25 different Palette necklaces

currently in my studio.

I listed 7 of them in my shop today.

The concept for these light-hearted,

lightweight

wisps of whimsy

was really a simple idea.

I wanted to make a little neckpiece that was

affordable, fun and breezy-light for the warmer months.

Affordable to most at $26,

yet still an original Fringe design,

still completely handmade by yours truly.

I truly believe that really means something.

The option for wearing more than one at a time for instant impact

is very appealing to me.

It gives you the opportunity to personalize this piece.

Adding a brooch,

a strip of fabric,

or nippets of lace

can only add more delight to your experience with a Palette piece.

These Palette neckwear pieces will appear in a variety of lengths

as well as different size ruffles.

Happy Friday to you all! What a whirlwind week this has been. I hope you're having a great start to your day, dear friends.

Yesterday's shop update went off without a hitch (phew!). This week’s collection is diverse. Contrasts, textures, whimsy and romance. I can't choose a favorite, but there are some new little details, like the butterfly on Flying Flower Capelet.

I realized after my pieces were complete that I must really have Spring on my mind because four of the six items have a flower brooch. And Cloudburst is flowery in shape too, that makes five out of six!

Flowers influence me greatly, as does nature, so it's really no surprise that I incorporate them into so many of designs....

Are you planning anything for the weekend? We have a busy one again. Tomorrow is the annual Karate Tournament. A big, big event for my two fellas. Both R and the boy have been in karate for years so the tournament has been a part of our life for some time now.

Sunday we're having a get-together here which will include a barbeque. I just know it all will be over practically before it's begun! I will remind myself throughout the weekend to stop a moment and reflect on how fortunate I am, and how important it is to live in the moment.

Hello, lovely friends! Happy Thursday! I hope you are well and having a beautiful week....

Today is one of my favorite days of the week. It's Fringe shop update day. Yippee! As you may recall, last week's shop update was a tad stressful due to unforeseen computer and lighting difficulties. This week's update has worked out wonderfully. Although, you know the old saying, "There's a reason for everything."...? Well, I found a pretty good reason for last week's "problems". They allowed me to realize that afternoon updates are really quite perfect. So there you go, you never know what your little bumps in the road will lead to. Perhaps a wonderful discovery.

So, on that note....

This Week's Shop Update...

Hooray, it's Friday! I hope you are all looking forward to your weekend. As you may know, yesterday was my shop update. I have to say, it was slow going, and I worried it wouldn't go through due to my computer issues. However, I did manage to complete my update...yay!

This week's new items are a mix of different styles. Hopefully, something for every style and taste. There are bright colors, soft colors, elegant designs and rustic designs. I have included five of the seven new pieces here in this post. If you want to check out all seven, click here.

Coming attractions...

Good morning, dear ones! I hope you're all doing great. As you may know, Thursday is my newly designated shop update day. This is my third week of such updates, and I have to say that I love them. It keeps me focused, and the designs have been wonderful to work on.

Previously, I have had the updates first thing in the morning, but this week will be different. Due to a series of unexpected delays and occurances (such as poor lighting for photos at my regularly scheduled photo shoot time, and internet connection trouble today). Among the new pieces will be a Key Lime Pie, a truly wild Wild Ride, and Pieces of Me...I will leave you with this little sneak peek snippet of something I'm quite excited about. I hope you will be too...

Fringe Shop Update...

Happy Thursday, lovely friends! This week's shop update is live, and let me tell you, I'm a tad bit worn out. I love challenging myself to these weekly updates, but they tend to take their toll. I've shamefully neglected reading all the blogs I love, to say nothing of my darling brother, my sleep, meals and house. Oh, the Sacrifices for art!

I really am so happy with the seven new pieces I created. They're close to my heart. I took a couple of completely new turns this week. The pillowy fiber brooches are one-of-a-kind and I'm a little crazy over them. It's like I've written before, you have to love your creations. It's the only way they will speak to others, when you truly care about your work.

Fringe Shop Update...

I did it, friends! My Fringe shop update is live.

I'm in love with my newest designs. They're very dear to me. I guess that happens, as a designer. We have to love the pieces we create and feel passionate about them.

It was a fabulous challenge to get six new designs ready in a week. I'm so happy I went for it though. I hope you enjoy my newest creations....
