Turquoise Tuesday...

.

Hello, dear ones, and Happy Turquoise Tuesday!  Yippee!  How's your week going?  Mine is already zipping right by, with a long list of goals that I'm hoping to achieve.  Even the littlest goal achievement is worth celebrating...so be sure to pat yourself on the back, or treat yourself to a little splurge when you check one off your list...Love yourself.  Mama D's little snippet of wisdom for the day.

Today's feature is about one very talented lady.  I have purchased eight or nine pieces from her so far.  I plan to add more of her super cool items to my wardrobe in the future too.  This week's focus is on the lovely Alix of Treehouse28.  I'm in love, smitten to the ends of my fingertips, with her armwarmers.  And she happens to have them available in a gorgeous rich turquoise/teal (yes, I own them)...

Alix makes these in a variety of styles and prices, so they're affordable for every budget.  Each fabulous style is custom made for you so the size is perfect every single time.  I highly recommend them.  I promise one pair is simply not enough...sort of like one potato chip...you can't stop with just one.

I hope today brings you happiness...
and thank you so much for popping in to see me...xo

Just Add Jeans...

Ladies, have you seen the Sundance catalog lately? I receive them in the mail and they torture me on a regular basis. There are so many gorgeous goodies in those little evil enticers. Here I've put together a little grouping of some of my favorite items...all you need to do is just add jeans. Click on the image to see more about it. Thanks for stopping by...xo

The Uniform Project...

The most brilliant idea. The Uniform Project is one woman's idea, namely designer Sheena Matheiken, to wear the same dress for 365 days as a way to challenge our traditional ideas of what fashion really is all about. I'm so impressed by this concept.

Also, she is raising money for a most excellent cause, the Akanksha Foundation. I would like to shout this from the rooftops, and I may still do that, but common sense told me to try getting this fabulous story out via my blog.

Below are my favorite outfits thus far in June. Please visit The Uniform Project and find out all the details about Ms. Matheiken's endeavor...

The Sartorialist

Just yesterday, my brother, author of the beautiful new blog Brock Street, introduced me to a blog named The Sartorialist. All I can say is...perfection! What an inspiring and beautiful place to visit! Those of you who have visited my shop know that I am extremely interested in fashion and colors and textures so, needless to say, I'm in heaven when I go to this blog. You will become instantly hooked on it, as I have. I hope you will visit both of these blogs. Both created by men of fashion and design. Stay tuned for more in depth coverage of Brock Street....

Featured in MODISH ~ Yippee!

As part of Jena's "How to be a Crafty Marketer" series... If you would like to read the feature, please visit Modish Biz Tips.

What a complete thrill and honor it is for me to find that I have been featured in the fabulous MODISH Biz Tips blog! For those of you who aren't familiar with this incredible site, please take the time to check it out for excellent business advice (link provided above). One of the most important points Jena made in the segment is this;
Don't create based on trends, what you "think" will sell or what you've seen others do before. Keep your integrity and personality in everything you make, and you'll easily create a "look", "style" or niche that customers will come to rely upon you for.
