While the cat's away...

R is away for a two week business trip. Far, far away. Korea and China. He's been traveling often for work since before we were married, so I'm quite used to it. Since he and I both work from home, it's a nice little break when he travels. A nice little break, but still, I miss him and worry. That being said...I admit I do (or don't do) lots of things when he's gone that I probably wouldn't (or would) do if he were home. Know what I mean?

Let me give you an example. Let's take breakfast. For the most part, I'm pretty good. I usually have either oatmeal, cereal, toast and fruit, or sometimes eggs with avocado and tomato. Ron has oatmeal with raisins. Every. Single. Day. How can I explain his consistent, healthy diet? My explanation is simple. He's Year of the Ox (seriously, the Chinese zodiac is eerily accurate) . Even though I'm Year of the Tiger, I can play at Year of the Ox quite well, while R's around. However, when he's gone...Well, maybe I'll just show you. Today's breakfast:

Yes, R, baby's been a bad, bad girl.

With us, its the other way around. I eat much, much healthier when Nate's not around. He is such a picky, unhealthy eater though, that my diet gets much worse when we're eating together.

LOL! I do the same exact thing. I just ate my way through a chocolate pie. It was wonderful with coffee for breakfast!

It's all about the food, girls. When my hubby is away, I eat Chinese food until it is coming out my ears!

Breakfast stays pretty consistant when a certain someone is away, but when lunch and dinner roll around...watch out! Veggie Booty , dark chocolate, and Annie's mac & cheese with tuna, peas & tomatoes rule the day! Oh yeah....chocolate pop-tarts make an apperance too.

Funny how things change when you on your own...totally can relate to the "do or not do/would or wouldn't do" thing.

Safe travel wishes for R and a perfectly divine whatever you want to do 2 weeks for you!xo

When my hubby is away I could live on frozen pizza and have been known to even have a bologna sandwich on white bread - and definitely cereal for any meal and I don't even want to admit to what I watch on tv when he's not around...

Sometimes you have to be bad, to be really good. Sherry I'm with you...hubby doesn't like asian food so much...so I also bring home tons and tons.
