It seems like only yesterday...

.

...when our boy wouldn't leave the house without Fluffy.
Today was his 8th grade graduation.
*sniff*

I made myself weepy with that photo of Fluffy.

To cheer myself up,
I put on my green shoes,
Ron's [cuffed] Levis,
 and attempted to compose myself
before the graduation ceremony.

As it happened,
I didn't make a fool of myself
by getting all weepy
in front of the boy.

The ceremony was short and sweet.
As for afterwards...

That's another story.

It seems a mother's heart is always breaking.
Sometimes slowly and slightly.
Sometimes...

Whether it be from joy or sorrow.
or just the day to day stuff.

Still, I wouldn't change a thing.

Much love to you...

Awe, big hugs Mamma D...thank heavens for those super cute and happy green shoes, and the fact that fluffy is still there to hang out with (so adorable)...and most of all, that there is still 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th...that's a lot of "th's" to look forward too, although, the '12th' one will have you going through this all over again, but in a good way!
Today we're going to our 'surrogate' daughters highschool graduation and we're all weepy too, I feel as if she just started kindergarten...the time does fly.
Much love to you, back...

Suz ~ You and I are a couple of softies :). Hang in there, mama!

J ~ You are so right, there is still more to come. The high school years...Heaven help me :)

I hope your surrogate daughter's graduation ceremony was lovely. I guess you, Suz, and I were all weepy on Friday...

Love to you both!

so proud. of the way you can pull off an outfit...and of course the little man.
please tell him he needs to stop it right now...no more growing up for a while. it is all happening too fast.

brock street ~ Thank you, dear heart, for the lovely compliment. You always say the sweetest things...

And yes, let's figure out a way to make the boy stop growing up already! :(
