Two boys...

The last two days have been a blur of teenage boys. Well, two teenage boys. My son and his buddy, who has spent most of the last two days with us. A delightful boy, so polite and slightly silly. They've had a grand time together, but I am thoroughly exhausted. I don't know why, really. At 13, they are far more self-sufficient than say, two 8-year-old boys. They're both such good boys, I think it's just the hormone overload that wears me out. Although, I must say, we've done a whole lot of laughing this weekend!

They are at this moment sitting in the family room with their dinner and the Get Smart movie on TV. Which is why I'm in my office right now. If I have to sit through Get Smart one more time, my eyes may start to bleed. It was slightly funny the first time. That's it. However, my boy never gets tired of it.

What kind of appetite do 13-year-old boys have? Well, the two that are currently in the other room have this kind of appetite: Four hamburgers (with only ketchup and mustard), 3 orders of fries, and two vanilla milkshakes (milkshakes not in the photo because they drank them on the ride home), courtesy of In-N-Out Burger. If you're not familiar with In-N-Out, you can see more here.

I realize my last two posts have been about food...it wasn't planned. Just sorta worked out that way. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend...finding time for yourself and enjoying life.

Thank you so much for stopping in, friends....xo

I like the burgers and not the fries! :P Haven't tried their shakes, but if it's not chocolate ... well, really now ... :D

Hang in there! Almost over!

(p.s., I thought Ron was going to be the other boy in this story!)

Food is GOOD and this post was great!! My 16 year old cousin came to stay with my husband and I, and she definitely eats like a teenager ... tons of candy, always hungry, and she explained to us that she gets In and Out all the time ... ahhh to eat with no hesitation. Much love to you! XO

It's the boys (bless their hearts) that always wear me out most in class. They are funny, cute, silly, and (most of the time) good, but they wear me out. The little girls on the other hand...ahhh, I could have a whole class of them...no offense boys, you just have a LOT of energy and goofball cells!

And if it wasn't morning...I'd be all over those burgers & fries!

Have a blissful Monday....xo

Thank you so much, lovely friends, for your good-natured, fun comments. You really are such a delight, all of you!

I wish you could all come over. We'd give those teenage boys a run for their money :)

Andrea, the fire eater...what a woman!
